Depot (“the app”) is a visual gear database for people who work with gear, developed and published by Tilen® (“we”, “us”). Depot is built to keep your data in your hands. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app handles, what we collect, and your rights. The short version: Depot does not require an account, does not collect personal information, does not use third-party analytics or advertising, and does not operate servers that store your data. Everything you enter into the app stays on your device.

YOUR INVENTORY DATA Depot lets you catalog your equipment — names, serial numbers, photos, values, purchase details, notes and similar information. All of this data is stored locally on your device, in the app’s private storage area. It belongs to you. • We do not operate servers that receive, collect, or store your inventory. • Your data is never transmitted to us. • We have no access to it and cannot view, recover, or restore it.
INFORMATION WE COLLECT We do not collect any personal information. Specifically, Depot does not collect, transmit, or store: • your name, email address, or contact details; • account credentials (the app has no accounts or sign-in); • location data; • device identifiers, advertising identifiers, or fingerprinting data; • usage analytics or behavioral data; • the contents of your inventory, photos, or notes. The app does not contain third-party analytics, advertising SDKs, or tracking technologies of any kind.
DEVICE PERMISSIONS Depot may request access to certain device features solely to provide its functionality: • Photos / Files. If you add photos or files to an inventory item, the app accesses only the items you select. Selected photos are copied into the app’s local storage on your device and are not uploaded anywhere.
ANALYTICS AND DIAGNOSTICS Depot does not include any third-party analytics or crash-reporting tools. If you have opted in to “Share with App Developers” in your device’s Analytics & Privacy settings, Apple may provide us with aggregated, anonymized crash logs and usage statistics. This data is collected by Apple under Apple’s own privacy policy, contains no personal identifiers, and cannot be linked to you by us. You can disable this at any time in System Settings › Privacy & Security › Analytics & Improvements.
PURCHASES Depot is currently offered free of charge and contains no in-app purchases. If paid features are introduced in a future version, payments will be processed by Apple through the App Store; we will never see or store your payment details, and this policy will be updated accordingly before any such change takes effect.
SHARING INITIATED BY YOU If you use Depot’s export or share features to send a kit list, package, or inventory to someone, that information is transmitted at your direction, using the method you choose (for example email or file export), to the recipient you choose. We are not a party to that transfer and do not receive a copy. You decide what to share and with whom.
DATA RETENTION AND DELETION Because your data is stored only on your device and we collect nothing: • Retention: your data is retained for as long as you keep it in the app, under your sole control. • Deletion: you can delete individual items at any time within the app, or remove all data by deleting the app from your device. • We hold no copies, so there is nothing for us to retain or delete on our side. If you contact us by email for support, we retain that correspondence only as long as needed to resolve your request, after which it may be deleted on request.
YOUR RIGHTS (GDPR AND OTHER PRIVACY LAWS) Depending on where you live, you may have rights under laws such as the EU GDPR or the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, and the right to withdraw consent. Because Depot stores all data locally on your device and we collect no personal data, you can exercise these rights directly and at any time within the app: view, edit, export, or permanently delete any information you have entered. No request to us is required.
SECURITY Your data is protected by the security measures of your own device, including macOS app sandboxing and any device encryption (FileVault) or passcode protection you have enabled. Because no data leaves your device, there is no transmission or server-side storage to secure.
CHANGES TO THIS POLICY We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time — for example, if future versions of Depot introduce optional online features such as sync, accounts, or purchases. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and post the updated version at this URL. Material changes will be highlighted in the app or in release notes before they take effect.
